Alhamdulillah, Chief of Bali Police Vowed to Embrace Islam
Denpasar - Chief of Bali Police, Inspector General of Police Benny Mokalu Albertus Julius, vowed to embrace Islam, Friday (7/11) ago. The reading of the creed took place at his residence in Denpasar, Bali, guided a scholar from Bengkulu, Habib Abdurrahman.
General police with two stars embraced Islam witnessed a number of figures and a number of top officials of the Bali Police. "It's a matter of belief and choice of the heart. It is a very personal issue," said Head of Bali Police spokesman, Police Commissioner Hery Wiyanto.
Answering Republika Online, Sunday (9/11), Hery explained, Benny Mokalu, born in Kupang, NTT, July 22, 1959. Prior to serving as Chief of Police of Bali 16 September 2013, Benny served as police chief of Bengkulu.
One adviser of Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) Bali, Roichan Muchlis said, also heard Benny Mokalu events. According to him, the events of one's conversion to Islam, is seen as the guidance of God and in that case, only a little role of Benny.
Roichan said, God gave man the freedom to choose and the final decision is, as the will of God. In Islamic history, which is known for some of the names of the Prophet Muhammad's uncle. "But until the end of life they do not get the guidance," he said.
Bali is just one of the many small islands but without a doubt, it is one of the most famous islands of Indonesia. Bali is frequently referred to as "The Paradise Island" because of its reputation in the world as a tropical paradise of untold beautiful nature, idyllic mood and never ending fascination. The island is also known as "The Island of Gods" because worship colors every facet of life among the Hindu Balinese in their daily activities.
