The resolution was adopted by 339 members of parliament, on Tuesday (2/12).
Unfortunately, as many as 151 MPs voted against the resolution proposed by the Socialist group.
French Senate is also expected to provide relevant sound the same resolution on December 11.
French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, said that France would recognize Palestine as a state if peace efforts fail.
"If the last attempt unsuccessful negotiations, France will assume responsibility for recognizing a Palestinian state," said Fabius.
"France recognized the State of Palestine, not as a favor, but it is their right," he said.
"France is a friend of the people of Israel and the Palestinians. France will recognize a Palestinian state. The question is when and how? Hence the need for recognition is so useful to attempt to break the deadlock and contributing to reaching a final resolution of this conflict, "he added.
Palestinian Authority on Tuesday welcomed the results of the French parliamentary vote that recognizes a Palestinian state and urged the French government to immediately follow.
"This is a bold step in the right direction," said the Palestinian Authority in a statement quoted by the official news agency Wafa.
Results of voting France rated Israel as "a big mistake".
"Israel believes the voice of the National Assembly would hamper the peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians," said Israeli Ambassador in Paris.
The United States also welcome cold French support for the Palestinians.
A wave of recognition of Palestine as an independent state began surfaced in October this year. Initially, the idea was initiated by the British.
UK Parliament has held a special vote for the sake of determining his position on Palestine.
Shortly after the UK, Sweden officially also recognize the State of Palestine. After the UK and Sweden, Spain in this month also will soon announce its support of the Palestinian State.
